SLACK SPAN DEAD-END

The slack span dead-end is designed on the transmission lines. Its role on the transmission line is to terminate the primary conductors, secondary conductors, and even neutral conductors. This is done so as to prevent the formation of a standing wave on the transmission line that could cause signal reflection and power loss.

Slack span dead-end is made of galvanized steel, it is used on high voltage overhead transmission lines. Slack span dead is designed according to the ANSI C37.4-1996 standard.

The slack span dead-end has a physical design that makes it easy to install and replace. Slack span dead-end is also said to be durable in the sense that it is not easily affected by corrosion or weather elements.
